ACPMP is funding a significant new $100,000 grant

We are thrilled to announce that ACPMP is funding a significant new $100,000 grant this year: The Lisa Kurtz Luciano Appendix Cancer and Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Clinical Investigator Award! Thanks to all of our supporters and their donations, ACPMP is pleased to be able to fund this Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) award focused solely on appendix cancer and PMP.

Named in memory of ACPMP’s founder, Lisa Kurtz Luciano, this research grant focuses specifically on advancing research related to appendiceal mucinous neoplasms, appendiceal adenocarcinomas, and PMP, with special interest in proposals that embrace moving this rare malignant tumor type forward to a curative science.

In addition, we’re pleased to continue driving forward on appendix cancer research by funding an SSO Young Investigator Award of $25,000, aimed at fostering innovative research in appendix cancer and PMP.

Both of these awards are open for applications now. If you or someone you know is conducting research in these critical areas, we encourage you to apply: https://surgonc.org/resources/research-funding/
