Brenda’s Ultramarathon for PMP

Brenda Carawan was selected as one of 90 athletes from around the world to compete in the Badwater Ultramarathon on July 11, 2011. Recognized as “the world’s toughest foot race,” athletes ran 135 miles nonstop from Badwater, Death Valley (-282 ft) to Mount Whitney Portal (8360 ft). Brenda ran the race in honor of her friend who has Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), a rare form of abdominal cancer. Using the race to build awareness and raise money for PMP, all donations went directly to The PMP Research Foundation.
