BromAc: bromelain and acetylcysteine

CA 125: cancer antigen 125 (tumor marker blood test)

CA 19-9: ​cancer antigen 19-9 (tumor marker blood test)

CEA: carcinoembryonic antigen (tumor marker blood test)

CRS: cytoreductive surgery

DPAM: disseminated peritoneal adenomucinosis

EPIC: early postoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy

FOLFIRI: chemotherapy regimen consisting folinic acid/leucovorin (FOL), Fluorouracil/5-FU (F), and irinotecan/Camptosar (IRI)

FOLFIRINOX: chemotherapy regimen consisting folinic acid/leucovorin (FOL), Fluorouracil/5-FU (F), irinotecan/Camptosar (IRI), and oxaliplatin/Eloxatin (OX)

NED: no evidence of disease

NET: carcinoid (neuroendocrine) tumors arising from the neuroendocrine versus the epithelial cells of the appendix

PC: peritoneal carcinomatosis

PCI: peritoneal cancer index

PIPAC: pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy

PMC/PMCA: peritoneal mucinous carcinomatosis

PMCA-I: peritoneal mucinous carcinomatosis-intermediate

PMP: pseudomyxoma peritonei

PSM: peritoneal surface malignancy

SRC: signet ring cell
