Sarah Corrigan’s Fundraiser for the Maine Marathon

Running to Support ACPMP

My name is Sarah Corrigan and my cousin Julia Rouse (age 37) is currently battling appendix cancer/PMP. I am fundraising and running on behalf of her and all who are battling this rare disease in the Maine marathon on Sunday, October 4, 2021 in Portland, Maine. We have raised over $5,400 so far for the ACPMP Research Foundation and hope to increase that number through the month of September. This rare but aggressive cancer impacts the lives of many individuals. The ACPMP Research Foundation’s goal is to find a cure for those diagnosed with the disease and we look forward to supporting their mission.

This is my cousin Julia with her two girls, Brynn (2 years old) and Peyton (5 years old). Julia is currently battling appendix cancer/PMP and has gone through surgery and 12 rounds of chemo. After being diagnosed last year, she just got a clean scan in June! Now she is being monitored every 3 months.

This is our family, her army behind her! ❤️

This is me (Sarah) who will be running the marathon. This is a picture that I sent Julia before she went for her clean scan in June. We made these shirts for her and there is a super hero on the back to represent Julia!

Julia and I together. She has been my role model since I was a little girl and continues to be now with her strengthen and courage.

Thank you to Bill and Patti Rouse for their generous contribution of $500 to support Sarah’s efforts!
