Educating Providers, Improving Care: Inside the New CME Course

Appendix neoplasms are rare tumors of the appendix, and many healthcare providers may encounter only a handful of cases throughout their careers. To help address this gap, Dr. Ugwuji Maduekwe and colleagues, in partnership with ACPMP, developed a comprehensive online continuing medical education (CME) course designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ understanding of appendix cancer diagnosis, treatment, and multidisciplinary care.

Join Dr. Maduekwe for a special webinar as she introduces the course, shares why it was created, and discusses how expanding provider education can help improve care for patients with appendix neoplasms. She will provide an overview of the course content, explain who it was designed for, and answer questions from patients and caregivers about this important educational initiative.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, a long-term survivor, or caring for someone with appendix cancer, this webinar offers a unique opportunity to learn how educating healthcare professionals is advancing awareness, improving clinical knowledge, and ultimately supporting better care for the appendix neoplasm community.

Who should attend: Patients, caregivers, advocates, and anyone interested in advancing awareness and education about appendix cancer, and pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).
